Three Named as Finalists for Young Sports Star Award

England footballer Michelle Agyemang, darts player Luke Littler and cricket star Davina Perrin have been named as finalists for the this year's Young Sports Star of the Year award.
The three finalists have been honoured for their exceptional achievements over the past 12 months.
Agyemang played a key role in helping the Lionesses secure Euro 2025, Littler claimed the world title for the very first time, and Perrin surged to prominence with a unprecedented innings.
Littler won the award in 2024 after his remarkable rise.
The shortlisted athletes were unveiled on a widely-listened-to radio show.
The champion will be announced during a live broadcast on the Sports Personality of the Year show on Thursday, 18 December.
The event will be televised from 7 PM GMT.
Agyemang's Profile
Age: 19 Sport: Football
Only 90 days after her first cap for her country, Agyemang played a crucial and game-changing role in England's run to Euro 2025 glory.
She was introduced as a substitute to score key tying goals in both the knockout stage games.
Her incredible contributions led to her being named the best young player at the Euros.
Subsequently, she was awarded the prestigious Golden Girl honour for the best young player in Europe.
She was also shortlisted for the Kopa Trophy for the global standout among U21 women.
Agyemang, who has been on loan at Brighton from Arsenal, sustained a serious knee injury in October.
"To be named a finalist for this honour is a privilege," said Agyemang. "I thank God and I'm appreciative of the support I've received from my inner circle and supporters."
The Darts Prodigy

Littler kicked off the year in incredible form as - at just 17 years old - he became the earliest-ever winner in history.
He secured a dominant victory over Michael van Gerwen in the final.
His follow-up triumph at the World Matchplay made him only the fifth player to complete the prestigious three major tournament wins.
He didn't stop there - his triumph in November's Grand Slam of Darts meant he climbed to world number one for the first time.
At 18, he is the most youthful player to do so, breaking the previous record.
"Earning a spot on the shortlist for the honour once more is a big honour," stated Littler. "Last year's win was a highlight for me and I've had another incredible 12 months. I want to continue elevating darts."
Davina Perrin
Age: 19 Sport: Cricket
Perrin is one of English cricket's most exciting young talents and burst into the spotlight with an unbelievable and unprecedented innings in August.
Her sublime 42-ball century in The Hundred is the speediest century from an England batswoman in T20s.
It also stands as the shared third-fastest women's T20 century in a top-tier competition.
Perrin ended up as runner-up in the season's run tally and was named the young player of the year by the PCA.
"I'm truly honoured to be named a finalist for the Young Sports Star award," expressed Perrin. "It's a very special feeling. I hope it motivates more young women to get into cricket."
